On Sunday, August 29th, the Voters Assembly heard a report from Bill Lunz on the progress of the renovation project for the kitchen, youth room and bathroom in the Fellowship Hall.
The estimated cost of the project came in higher than expected. Therefore, the Board of Church Properties and an ad hoc committee have done diligent work to see to it that the cost is brought down.
The asbestos removal will take place sometime over the next few weeks. In addition, the architect, Pam Anderson will send out bids to contractors to get real costs.
The actual construction is slotted to begin by the end of September, early October with the hope that the project can be completed by December 25th.
Some members of Bethlehem have been longing for a kitchen renovation for many years. God has blessed this effort as he did the “Lift Project” through the Capital Campaign Project, known as Building on the Past with a Bridge to the Future.
If you have questions or would like to know more about the project, please call the church office to obtain the phone number or email address for the project manager.
