Bethlehem will hold Advent worship services again both in the morning (11:15 AM) and in the evening (6:30 PM). Last year, the morning services were well attended by members and friends alike who don’t wish to drive in the evening. If this is the case with you, please join us for worship service at 11:15 AM (right after the Bible Study of the upcoming Sunday’s Scripture lessons that takes place Wednesdays at 10 AM.) The order for the morning service will be Matins. The evening service will follow the Order of Vespers. Laura and John Springer will alternate playing for these services.
The Advent Services prepare us for the joy of Christmas morning – the birth of our Lord, Jesus, Christ – and the perfect life that this child led in obedient love to His Father, He freed each one of us from our own eternal deaths – the death that would have separated us from the presence of God forever. So this Christmas Day we celebrate not only the birth of Jesus but His and our own resurrection to life eternal!!
A special invitation from Pastor: These Advent services are a wonderful time to invite family and friends to worship. Consider the opportunity presented to every one of us: God invites us to take a breather from the stresses and strains of life. He invites us to gather together in prayerful consideration as we make room for and welcome the Holy Son of God again into our lives. Join us for this quiet time in the middle of the week to reflect on the awesome arrival of Jesus into the world as its Savior and Redeemer.
